Bud and Brew Music Festival Coming to Reno on Sept 23

Beer Festival

The Bud and Brew Music Festival in Reno will be held Saturday, September 23.

The event begins at 10 a.m. and will close at 6 p.m. at Wingfield Park, according to Reno Gazette-Journal. Law enforcement’s presence will be to ensure that no sales, consumption or purchases of marijuana take place. What will be available is local vendors and booths from marijuana industry leaders.

A beer village of local, craft beers will be onsite. The main goal of including marijuana in the festival is to improve education and teach attendees about medical marijuana. Educating more people about the medical benefits of medical marijuana will be a focal point.

Senator Segerblom’s bill to allow event holders and businesses to allow onsite consumption failed to pass. Segerblom was told that onsite consumption at events and businesses already exists in the law and is at the local government’s discretion. Reno hasn’t made a decision as to whether to allow the special use or onsite consumption permits yet.

General admission to the event is $30. You can get OG Kush access, which provides access to the late night show, for $49 or VIP passes for $99. VIP tickets include the late night show and meet and greets with several of the performing artists – shuttle
